  • Detailed description

    If you have already studied medicine abroad and would now like to continue your studies at a German university, you can have periods of study as well as study and examination achievements credited to your medical studies.

    Likewise, you can have periods of study as well as study and examination achievements credited if you have already pursued studies related to medical studies in Germany or abroad.

  • Requirements
    • Your study and examination achievements to be credited are equivalent to the medical studies according to the Approbationsordnung für Ärzte.

    • Application for credit transfer and recognition of periods of study and academic achievements
  • Process

    You can apply for recognition of periods of study and achievements in writing using a form from the State Examination Office for Health Professions :

    • Download the form online and print it out.
    • Fill in the form and add the necessary evidence.
    • Submit the application documents to the responsible State Examination Office.
    • You will then receive the recognition decision or, if necessary, information about the rejection of your application by post.
