Working as a lawyer requires the establishment of a law firm, i.e. an office that is permanently set up and open during conventional business hours and is suitable for conducting confidential client meetings and accommodating client files. The affiliation to the Bar Association depended on the location of this office. A relocation of the administrative headquarters to another bar association district leads to a change of chamber membership and requires local re-admission

• Certified copy of the current list of shareholders in accordance with Section 8 (1) No. 3 GmbHG
• Photocopies of employment contracts
  • of the managing directors
  • of authorized signatories
  • of the authorized representatives for the entire business operations
• Copy of the articles of association or certified copy of the articles of association
• Photocopy of the deed of incorporation
• Proof of liability insurance or provisional confirmation of cover
• Proof of payment of the fee
• Photocopy of the shareholders' resolution on the appointment of the managing directors, if necessary also of authorized signatories (only if the appointment does not result from the articles of association or the certificate of incorporation)

• Notification of the transfer of the registered office and submission of the supporting documents, in particular the articles of association to be amended,
• Discussion and decision-making in the Executive Board

• Recording and notification to the Rechtsanwalts-GmbH

The change of membership of the Chamber does not affect the right to provide legal advice or the right to use the title; i.e. that legal consulting services can also be continued or offered uninterrupted in the new chamber district.
