If you would like to take advantage of professional energy consulting for your company, you can apply for funding.

An energy consultation can help you to uncover unused savings potential in your company and thus reduce your ongoing operating costs.
The Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) can grant you a subsidy for expert, independent energy consulting so that you can find the optimal measures and opportunities for your company. An energy consultant approved by the BAFA analyzes the weak points of energy use in your company as part of a detailed energy consultation in order to find out energy saving potentials.

The grant is a grant that covers part of the costs. You do not have to repay this grant.
Grant amount:

• for energy costs up to EUR 10,000/year: 80 percent of the eligible consulting costs (net consultant fee), maximum EUR 1,200
• for energy costs over EUR 10,000/year: 80 percent of the eligible consulting costs (net consultant fee), maximum EUR 6,000

If your measure is funded in accordance with this guideline, no public funds from other federal funding programmes may be used for similar measures (e.g. corresponding advisory programmes). In the case of additional funding from funds from other advisory programmes (e.g. the municipalities or federal states) for a similar measure, the total funding may not exceed 90 percent of the costs.

Funding is subject to the availability of the budget. They are also obliged to provide information to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Federal Court of Auditors at any time for monitoring and control purposes. In the case of a review by the above-mentioned institutions, you must be able to prove the content-related and cost-related differentiation from any other funding measures.

• You run a small or medium-sized business in the commercial economy or other service industry or exercise a liberal profession
• The registered office and business operations are located in Germany
• Your company will not be granted relief under the peak compensation
• Your company has not submitted an application under the Special Compensation Scheme in the current or previous calendar year

You must apply for the grant via the online form.

• Contact an approved energy efficiency consultant and obtain a quote.
• If you have the cost estimate, you can apply for the grant electronically.
• After completing the consultation, you submit a proof of use and the consultation report.

• The consultation must be carried out within 12 months of receipt of the grant decision.
• Deadline for submission of proof of use: within 3 months after expiry of the authorisation period
