Certificate of good conduct application in the online procedure
How can I apply for a certificate of good conduct online?
Your responsible authority
- Forms
-
Detailed description
Since 01.09.2014, the simple or extended certificate of good conduct can also be applied for online. This increases the citizen-friendliness of the information procedure, as it is no longer necessary to submit an application for the certificate of good conduct in person to the locally competent municipality, city or administrative community, but the application can be submitted directly electronically to the Federal Office of Justice.
The online application process pays particular attention to data security. To apply online, you will need the new electronic identity card or an electronic residence permit and a card reader. This is the only way to ensure that unauthorised third parties do not gain knowledge of the content of the entries stored about the person in the central register.
