Detailed description
An official voters' register is kept by the municipality for each polling district. It lists all citizens who are entitled to vote on election day. In principle, eligible voters who are registered as having their main residence in the municipality on the 42nd day before the election are entered ex officio in the voters' register. The municipality will send you a polling card no later than the 21st day before the election.
If you have not received a polling card by the 21st day before the election, you should immediately check with your commune whether you are entered in the voters' register. If this is not the case, you can apply for registration.
If you have a different situation, e.g. moving to the municipality after the 42nd day before the election or permanent residence as a secondary residence, please contact the municipal election authority immediately.
