Permission for the commercial exhibition of persons Renewal

The commercial display of persons requires the approval of the authorities. A granted permit may be renewed.

  • Detailed description

    Exhibitions of people are events in which the physical appearance of the people on display is in the foreground. The performances they offer (e.g. vocal performances or theatre performances) are in the background. This term mainly covers events that

    • display the sexual charms of the persons concerned, or
       
    • to satisfy the audience's thirst for sensationalism.

    Examples: Striptease or table dance

    Permission is required for commercial exhibitions of persons. These can be obtained by natural and legal persons. Need permission

    • the organiser of the exhibition, and
    • Persons who make their business premises available for the demonstration.
      The permission for the exhibition does not replace any other permissions.

    Note: Performances with a predominantly artistic, acrobatic, sporting or similar character are exempt from the permit requirement.

  • Deadline

    The licence expires if the holder has not started the business within one year of its issuance or has not exercised it for a period of one year.

    The deadlines may be extended for good cause.

    The responsibility lies with the municipality, the association of municipalities and the city.

    This procedure can also be handled by a "Point of Single Contact". The "Point of Single Contact" is a special service offered by the municipalities and the state for service providers.
