  • Detailed description

The aim of the education package is not to deprive children from financially weak families of the necessary education and participation opportunities. As an eligible person or as a parent, you have the option of applying for financial support from the state. The funding covers the following areas:

For eligible persons under 18 years of age:

    • The provision of personal school supplies is funded with EUR 116.00 for the first half of the school year and EUR 58.00 for the second half of the school year.
    • Costs are covered for supplementary appropriate learning support insofar as it is necessary to achieve the learning objectives set out in school law.
    • For one-day excursions from schools, day-care centres and day-care centres, the costs that are actually incurred are covered (except pocket money).
    • For multi-day excursions from day-care centres and day-care centres, as well as for school trips within the framework of school regulations, the costs that are actually incurred are covered (with the exception of pocket money).
    • Subsidies are paid for the communal lunch meals of pupils (if agreed in school responsibility or by a cooperation agreement between the school and the day care centre) as well as for children in day-care centres and day-care centres. Parents' own contributions will cease to apply as of 01.08.2019.
