If there are changes in your personal situation during your unemployment, these often have an impact on your entitlement to unemployment benefit I or unemployment benefit II. You must immediately report any change in your personal circumstances to your local job centre.

Process
Changes to your personal situation should be communicated in writing:
- Register with the Employment Agency.
- Once you have registered, you can use the online service of the Employment Agency to notify us of any changes.
- However, you can also send the change notification by post to the responsible job center or hand it in personally to your responsible job center.

Federal Employment Agency or, if you receive basic security benefits for jobseekers in accordance with the Second Book of the Social Code, your local job centre.
