Many cities and municipalities in Brandenburg create tree registers and regularly check the tree population on site with regard to road safety. However, if you notice damage to trees (due to storm damage or severe disease infestation) in public spaces such as streets, public green spaces, cemeteries or children's playgrounds, you can report this to the responsible green space office. This prompts further action. However, if your private property has been damaged by, for example, a replanted tree from the public space, you can assert recourse claims in writing.
