Some municipalities offer a senior citizens' pass for senior citizens and early retirees, mostly depending on income.

With the Senior Pass, there is, for example, the opportunity to visit museums or exhibitions free of charge or at a reduced price as well as to participate in lectures, training courses, excursions or various other activities.

The aim of the Senior Citizens' Pass is to facilitate or enable lower-income older citizens in particular to maintain contact with their peers and to actively participate in social life.

As a rule, the Senior Citizens' Pass must be reapplied for annually.

Identity card, pension card if applicable.

In the case of income-related issuance of the Senior Citizens' Pass, proof of monthly income and monthly charges is required. It is therefore recommended to contact the competent authority before applying.

It is possible for the authority to levy a nominal fee. If necessary, check with your competent authority.
