In Germany, the initial reception centre, reception centre or arrival centre according to § 22 of the Asylum Act (Landesaufnahmeeinrichtung) or the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees are the official contact points and accommodation for asylum seekers who must first visit them in order to apply for asylum there.
