Rectification of personal data by the registration authority

You have a right to know that the data a public authority processes about you, for example, is correct. Therefore, if you notice that inaccurate data about you is being processed, request that your data be corrected.

    The registration office is obliged to correct or complete incorrect or incomplete personal data.
    If you discover that the registration authority is processing incorrect or incomplete personal data about you, you can informally request that this data be corrected or completed.

    The authority will then check whether the data is indeed incorrect or incomplete. If this is the case, the data will be corrected or completed.

  • Requirements

    The prerequisites for a correction are, on the one hand, incorrect or incomplete data and, on the other hand, the undoubted determination of the incorrectness or incompleteness.

    The registration authority must also be aware of the correct data.
