Detailed description
If you discover head lice infestation in your child, the community facility that your child regularly attends (for example, day care centers, schools, or similar facilities) must be notified immediately.
The management of the community facility must immediately notify the health department and provide disease and personal information.
Head lice infestation is the most common parasitic disease in Europe. Anyone can get head lice. This is not due to a lack of hygiene. Especially in places where many children gather, head lice are transmitted quickly.
Children with head lice must not enter rooms of the community facility, must not use facilities of the community facility and must not participate in events of the community facility until a further spread of the lice by them is no longer to be feared.
A medical certificate is only required if a person has repeatedly had lice within four weeks. This is in accordance with the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute.
