Show construction, significant modification or decommissioning of a slurry, liquid manure and silage slurry plant (JGS plant)

You must notify us at least 6 weeks in advance of the construction, decommissioning or significant modification of a slurry, liquid manure and silage leachate plant (JGS plant).

  • Detailed description

    If you have a

    • silage leachate storage facility with a volume of more than 25 cubic meters,
    • any other JGS facility with a total volume of more than 500 cubic meters, or
    • a facility for the storage of solid manure or silage with a volume of more than 1,000 cubic meters, you must notify the competent authority.
  • Requirements

    You provide the necessary documents to prove that your system complies with the requirements of the Ordinance on Systems for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water (AwSV).

  • Process
    • You fill out the forms required for the notification and send them to the lower water authority by post or email or use the online service for the application.
    • In either case, the authority will check your documents for completeness and request any missing information or documents.
    • In addition, the content requirements will be checked, which may also result in additional claims.
    • If there are no objections, your application data will be entered into the authority's specialist procedure.
  • Deadline

    You must notify the competent authority in writing or online at least six weeks in advance.

    In Schleswig-Holstein, the lower water authorities of the districts or independent cities are responsible.
