  • Detailed description

    When taking over an existing facility for handling water-polluting substances, you, as the new operator of the facility, are obliged to notify the competent authority immediately of this change of operator. With the notification, you provide the competent authority with information about the previous and new operators, the owner and the takeover of the plant. There is no obligation to notify heating oil consumer installations.

  • Requirements

    The prerequisite is a plant subject to inspection in which water-polluting substances are handled, with the exception of heating oil consumer systems.

    • You fill out the forms required for the notification and send them to the lower water authority by post or e-mail or you use the online service.
    • The authority will check your documents for completeness and, if necessary, request missing information or documents.
    • In addition, the content requirements are reviewed, which may also lead to additional claims.
    • If there are no objections, your application data will be entered into the authority's specialist procedure.
  • Deadline

    The change of operator must be notified immediately in writing or online.
