As a dentist in Brandenburg, you must register with the Brandenburg State Dental Association. Membership is mandatory.

The State Dental Association is a public corporation based in Cottbus. The main tasks of the Chamber include, among others,

• to look after the professional interests of its members,
• to regulate and promote further education and training in dentistry,
• to supervise the fulfilment of professional duties, and
• ensure quality assurance.

Hint: If you move your professional activity abroad, you can remain a voluntary member. This also applies in the event that you only transfer your residence abroad without being professionally active.

If, as a dentist, you are allowed to treat patients with statutory health insurance ("statutory health insurance patients"), you are also a member of the Brandenburg Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists.

• Permission to practice dentistry and
• Practice of the profession in Brandenburg or, if you do not exercise your profession, residence in Brandenburg

certified copies of all documents related to the exercise of the profession

• the assessment of the contribution basis is based on contribution groups determined by the Chamber Assembly of the State Dental Association

If you are a dentist in Brandenburg, register yourself with the State Dental Association:

• Forms can be requested by phone at: 0355/3814814 from Ms. Schulz.
• Fill out the form and add the necessary supporting documents.
• Submit the documents to the Brandenburg State Dental Association.

Registration:

• before taking up your professional activity or when establishing your place of residence in Brandenburg (permanent establishment)
• in the case of newly licensed dentists, within 4 weeks of receiving the license to practice medicine
