The State of Brandenburg levies a charge on the user of a water body for the abstraction and discharge of water from surface waters and the abstraction, pumping, pumping and discharge of groundwater. The amount of water that is returned to a body of water under the conditions specified in the law is deducted. This fee is not charged in the cases specified in § 40 Paragraph 4 BbgWG. This applies, for example, to permit-free uses or small quantities.

Water use in the sense of WHG; § 40 BbgWG

Permit for water use, declaration of the party liable for payment with the documents required for the calculation (in particular measurements)

WRE authority (UWB/OWB)

Coordination with the assessment authority (State Office for the Environment)

Determination is free of charge

Self-declaration by the party liable to pay or estimate by the assessment authority (State Office for the Environment), calculation, assessment

Submission of the declaration by March 31 of the year following use at the latest
