In Brandenburg, the fishing fee must be paid for each year in order to be allowed to fish. For children and adolescents from 8 to 17 years of age, EUR 2.50 is charged for one year. For persons who have reached the age of 18, a fishing fee of EUR 12.00 per calendar year is charged. The fishing levy can also be paid for five calendar years. In this case, the fishing fee is EUR 40.00.

The fishing fee stamps must be affixed to a completed identification card before the start of fishing or fishing. The stamps can be purchased from the municipalities, from selected associations and shops, as well as through a pilot project under www.angelkarten.com.

Persons who manage pond farming facilities or fish farming and keeping are exempt from the fishing levy. Also exempt are persons who fish with a hand fishing rod in managed facilities where the fish are not ownerless.

The fishing fee must be paid without being asked, regardless of whether the fishing fee is paid for one or five calendar years.
