An approved alternative school which guarantees that it will permanently fulfil the conditions for approval without any significant objections may, at the request of the sponsor, be granted the status of a recognised alternative school by the Ministry responsible for schooling.

Recognised alternative schools are obliged to observe the provisions applicable to corresponding publicly funded schools when admitting and transferring pupils, obtaining qualifications and conducting examinations, unless the school authority has made other arrangements with the consent of the ministry responsible for schools.
