Part-time during parental leave
You can apply in writing to your employer for part-time employment during your parental leave.

Detailed description
You may work during parental leave if your weekly working hours do not exceed an average of 30 hours per month.
Part-time work can be carried out- with your employer,
- with another employer or
- as a self-employed activity.
Part-time work with another employer or as self-employment requires the consent of your employer. Your employer can only reject your application for urgent operational reasons. The rejection must be received by you in writing within 4 weeks of submitting the application.

You apply for part-time employment in writing to your employer:
- You submit your application to your employer.
- Your employer certifies your application. If you work part-time for another employer or as a self-employed person, you need your employer's consent. Your employer can only reject your application for urgent operational reasons.
