  • Detailed description

    Notify your library as soon as possible of the loss of your library card . Your ID card will then be immediately blocked for borrowing. Until the time of reporting the loss, you are liable for any misuse of the card. A replacement ID card will be issued upon request against payment of a fee.
    Note: The validity of the replacement card is limited in time
    (e.g. 12 months), so you must apply for an extension if necessary.

    • Valid identity card or passport with current registration certificate from the responsible registration office or other official ID with residence information
  • Process

    If you have lost your library card:

    • Report the loss of your library card to the library immediately.
    • The library card is immediately blocked or invalid.
    • Pay the fee for issuing a replacement ID.
    • You will then receive the replacement ID card immediately on site or by post within a few days.

    • by post: maximum 10 days
