Hunting lease agreement
A concluded hunting lease agreement must be reported to the competent lower hunting authority in whose territory the hunting district is located.

Samples of hunting leases are available on the Internet from hunting associations and associations of agriculture and forestry. Hunting leases are civil law contracts. There is no officially required form for this.
For the hunting lease agreement, the written form requirement is regulated in Section 12 (4) of the Federal Hunting Act.

Detailed description
A concluded hunting lease agreement must be reported to the competent lower hunting authority in whose territory the hunting district is located. The hunting lease agreement must be concluded in writing. Only those who have a hunting license and have held it for 3 years before the conclusion of the lease may be a hunting leaseholder.

Requirements
Only those who have a hunting licence and have held it for three years before the conclusion of the lease agreement may be a hunting leaseholder.
The maximum area is 1,000 ha of hunting area per person. According to § 14 of the Hunting Act for the State of Brandenburg, the maximum number of tenants per hunting district must not be exceeded. Up to 250 ha hunting district size, a maximum of two hunting tenants are permitted, and at least 75 ha of hunting area is required for each additional person.

Process
After completion, submit the hunting lease agreement in writing to the lower hunting authority.
The lower hunting authority examines the contract and reports complaints within three weeks by means of a notice of complaint.
Hunting may not be carried out before the end of the three weeks.

According to Section 12 (1) of the Federal Hunting Act, the deadline for complaints from the lower hunting authority is three weeks.

The area on which the hunt was agreed must be entered in the hunting licence of the hunting lessee. This is part of the procedure for hunting licences, changes/registrations.
