Detailed description
The manufacture, use and processing of hazardous substances containing asbestos is generally prohibited for both companies and private individuals. Exceptions apply to demolition, renovation and maintenance work. If this involves working with materials containing asbestos, you as a tradesperson must notify the LAVG before starting the work.

Requirements
- Employment of experts in accordance with TRGS 519 (number 5 TRGS 519)
- For work with weakly bound asbestos, additional approval as a specialist company

Documents
In the notification, please list at least
- Location of the workplace (address)
- Types and quantities of asbestos used or handled,
- activities carried out and procedures used,
- Number of employees involved,
- Start and duration of the activities,
- Measures taken to limit the release of asbestos and to limit the exposure of employees to asbestos.
In addition, please provide the following information or documents:
- Expert certificate
- Approval, if applicable
- work plan
- Operating instructions

Process
Notify us in writing of any intended activities involving materials containing asbestos:
- Download the form online and print it out.
- Complete the form and add the necessary supporting documents.
- Submit the notification and the required documents to the LAVG.

irrelevant, as the notifying party is only informed in the event of defects

Notification period: at least 7 days before the start of activities
