As a dentist in Brandenburg, you must register with the Brandenburg Dental Association. Membership is compulsory.

The State Chamber of Dentists is a public corporation based in Cottbus. The main tasks of the chamber include

• to represent the professional interests of its members
• to regulate and promote the further education and training of dentists,
• to monitor the fulfillment of professional duties and
• to ensure quality assurance.

Note: If you relocate your professional activity abroad, you can remain a voluntary member. This also applies if you only move your place of residence abroad without working professionally.

If, as a dentist, you are allowed to treat patients with statutory health insurance ("Kassenpatient"), you are also a member of the Kassenzahnärztliche Vereinigung Brandenburg.

• Permission to practice dentistry and
• Practice of the profession in Brandenburg or, if you do not practice your profession, residence in Brandenburg

certified copies of all documents related to the practice of the profession

• The contribution basis is calculated according to contribution groups determined by the chamber assembly of the State Dental Association

• Fill out the form and attach the necessary supporting documents.
• Submit the documents to the Brandenburg Dental Association.

Registration deadline:

• before starting your professional activity or when taking up residence in Brandenburg (permanent establishment)
• for newly licensed dentists within 4 weeks of receiving their license to practice
