Broadcasting fee in the private sector Reduction
If you have a severely disabled pass with the mark "RF", you can receive a reduction in your broadcasting fee. You will then pay a reduced contribution of EUR 5.83.

Detailed description
If you have a severely disabled pass with the mark "RF", you can receive a reduction in your broadcasting fee. You will then pay a reduced contribution of EUR 5.83.

Requirements
You have a severely disabled person's pass with the mark "RF" and belong to one of the following groups of people:
- You are blind or permanently significantly visually impaired: degree of disability (GdB) of 60 percent due to visual impairment alone
- You are hearing impaired, deaf or you cannot communicate adequately even with hearing aids
- You have a disability and can therefore constantly not participate in public events and the GdB is permanently at least 80 percent
Note: If you receive a discount, it extends to your wife or husband within the apartment. The same applies to your registered partner.

- current severely disabled pass with mark "RF" in the original (front and back) or in certified copy or
- Certificate from the authority on the award of the mark "RF"
- if necessary, further evidence
Attention: You will not receive the certificate from the authority or the service provider back. The original is intended to remain there. You do not have to mark the original severely disabled pass. You will receive this back without being asked.

Process
You must apply in writing to the competent authority for the reduction of the broadcasting fee. To do this, use the prescribed form. You can obtain it from cities and municipalities and from the competent authorities.
On the Internet, you can also fill it out online. Print and sign the form at the end of the submission process. Enclose the required supporting documents and send your documents by post.Note: You will receive the reduction from the first of the month specified in the approval notice or certificate as the start of the benefit.

Deadline
You must apply for the reduction within two months of the grant decision being issued.

If you have a disability and receive certain state social benefits, you may receive an exemption instead of a reduction. With proof from the relevant authority, you can apply for exemption from the broadcasting fee if, for example, you receive these benefits:
