Explosive ordnance disposal

Please do not touch explosive ordnance or found ammunition. There is danger to life. Report the find immediately to the police (emergency number 110) or the local regulatory authority and follow the instructions.

  • Detailed description

    If you have found explosive ordnance, contact the police immediately on emergency number 110 or the local regulatory authority. This is regardless of whether you find them on your own property or in other places, such as forests. Often explosive ordnance is no longer recognizable as such. They can be rusted or encrusted with soil.

    Attention!

    • Do not touch found ammunition!
    • Even the slightest change in position, a shock or pressure can trigger a life-threatening explosion.
       

    If you fail to report, you are committing an administrative offence punishable by a fine.

    If you find explosive ordnance or objects that you suspect may be ordnance, please follow these safety instructions:

    • Do not touch the ordnance/objects and leave them at the place where they were found.
    • Mark and save the occurrence visibly.
    • Warn others and point out the dangers.
    • Inform the police immediately via the emergency number 110 or the local regulatory authority. Avoid shocks.
    • If you have accidentally picked up explosive ordnance, then carefully put them down, do not throw them.
    • The instructions of the competent authority must be followed unconditionally.
