If you live in the state of Brandenburg and your child is registered in a school for the first time, your child is obliged to participate in the school medical examination. The school medical examination is the statutory compulsory examination for all children before entering school. A doctor of the Paediatric and Adolescent Medical Service of the responsible health authority will record the stage of development of your child with a view to the upcoming school entry. At least one parent must participate in the examination in order to provide the doctor with the necessary information.
