  • Detailed description

    Support for gifted students in Germany mainly consists of state-funded study grants, which are awarded to particularly talented students by organizations for the promotion of gifted students and foundations, usually in the form of scholarships.
    In order to receive a scholarship for gifted students, a proposal must be made by a school principal/university teacher/department or an informal application must be submitted to the organizations for the promotion of gifted students.
    The prerequisite is enrolment at a German university or a German degree with a doctoral entitlement at a German university. The award is based on a merit-based selection procedure.
