  • Detailed description

    Anyone wishing to broker public games of chance commercially in the State of Brandenburg requires a licence in accordance with § 3 of the Brandenburg Gambling Implementation Act, without prejudice to other notification obligations.

    The mediation takes place only to the organizers who have a license from the competent authority of the State of Brandenburg or the competent authority according to § 9 a of the State Treaty on Gambling.

    The permit application must be submitted in writing to the Ministry of the Interior and Municipal Affairs.

    The requirements for granting a licence can be found in § 19 of the State Treaty on Gambling.

    Commercial gambling brokerage is not permitted in local business premises.

    In the case of activities in several or all federal states, the gambling supervisory authority of the state of Lower Saxony is responsible.

  • Fees

    The fees are calculated according to time spent (hourly rates) (Gebührengesetz für das Land Brandenburg and Gebührenordnung MIK):

    • For staff in the higher service or comparable employees covered by collective agreements: EUR 80
    • For employees of the higher service or comparable employees covered by collective agreements: 60 euros
    • For employees in the middle service or comparable employees covered by collective agreements: EUR 48 and
    • For employees in the simple service or comparable employees covered by collective agreements: 38 euros
  • Process

    Submit your complete application to the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government of the State of Brandenburg.

    The application is examined, processed and decided. The notification will be sent by post.

    There is no specific deadline. The application must be submitted in sufficient time to allow sufficient time for thorough processing.
