If you want to carry out tests or issue certificates in accordance with the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance, you must be recognised by the competent authority.

Detailed description
For certain work on e.g. refrigeration or air conditioning systems, certificates of competence are required for the personnel carrying out the work. These certificates are issued after passing an examination. If you want to carry out such tests or issue certificates, you require recognition from the competent authority. This applies to the whole of Germany.

Requirements
They shall have at their disposal the appropriate means, material and staff for carrying out tests and issuing certificates.

Documents
Information on the teachers conducting the examination, on the course of the examination or on the content of the certificates shall be submitted. Following queries from the competent authority, further documents may have to be submitted.
- Training documents of the future instructors,
- contents of the course,
- time schedule for the execution of the course,
- if applicable, examination regulations,
- if applicable, procedural regulation for the issuance of certificates of competence,
- list of the devices used during the training and
- if applicable, sample of an examination, questionnaire.

Administration fee: EUR 100 - 1000

Process
You submit an informal application to the competent authority for recognition as an examination and certification body. If necessary, the authority will request further application documents and issue a notice of recognition after examining the application.
