Special use of roads Permits for construction measures

Workplaces that have an impact on road traffic (roadworks) must be secured.

  • Detailed description

    If you want to use public traffic beyond public use, you generally need a special use permit. Public transport space includes roads as well as footpaths and cycle paths.

    The special use permit is required, for example, for:

    • Barriers, construction fences
    • Container
    • Scaffolding, construction machinery
    • Site facilities
    • Deposition of building materials
    • Driving on pavements

    If you have already been granted an exemption under road traffic law, you no longer need a special use permit under road traffic law.

    Attention! The special use permit will not be replaced by a building permit.
