Test engineers for structural analysis recognised by the building authorities can set up a second branch. The establishment requires the approval of the recognition authority.

If you want to set up a secondary establishment, you must meet all the requirements that are also necessary for a main establishment.

These include:

• There is a room available for each branch where you can practice your profession

• You or a representative can be reached at any branch

• You can perform your duties as a test engineer

• Supervision by the respective chamber is ensured

The application shall be accompanied by the supporting documents necessary for approval, in particular:

1. personal responsibility for the activity in the secondary branch,
2. the employees who are to participate in the audit work, and
3. to ensure the supervision of proper construction.

Fees according to subheading 7.1.2 of the Brandenburg Building Fee Regulations – 200€

The application for permission to set up a secondary establishment must be submitted to the Recognition Authority for Test Engineers for Structural Engineering.

Submission of supporting documents relating to the conditions for authorisation.

Examination of the authorisation requirements by the recognition authority.

Approval by decision, if necessary in agreement with another federal state, if the requested second establishment is located in this country.
