Businesses in the craft sector subject to authorisation are included in the register of craftsmen, while those in the craft or trade-like trade that do not require a licence are included in the register of the owners of a business in a craft that is not subject to authorisation or a trade similar to a craft. The Chambers of Crafts at regional level are responsible for maintaining both registers.

In the registers kept by the Chambers of Crafts, data on the business owners are stored. If the owner of the company is a partnership or corporation, certain data on the shareholders and persons authorised to represent the company are also recorded. If new partners join or if old partners leave a registered company, the Chamber of Crafts must be notified. The same applies to a change of persons authorised to represent the company, for example if there is a change of management at a GmbH.

• Establishment registered with a Chamber of Crafts in the register of craftsmen or in the register of the owners of a business, a craft that is not subject to authorisation or a trade similar to a craft
• The following shall be notified:
  • Entry of new shareholders or resignation of old shareholders or
  • Change of persons authorized to represent companies (e.g. change of management in the case of GmbH).
     

• Information about the operation:
  • Running number
  • Company name
• Information on the request: Entry or exit of shareholders or change in power of representation
