Detailed description
Students as well as pupils in vocational school classes and technical school classes who provide a vocational qualification in a training course of at least two years, as well as pupils in comparable courses of study, can receive a one-off payment of 200 euros to relieve the increased energy costs.
If you belong to the group of addressees and meet other requirements, you can submit an application for the one-off payment online according to the procedure provided. As an eligible applicant, you will receive an access code and, if applicable, a PIN from your training institution.
In order to apply for the energy price allowance for students and (vocational) technical school pupils, it is necessary to create a BundID user account. You can submit your application until September 30, 2023. After that, it is no longer possible to submit an application.

Requirements
They must belong to the group of addressees of the EPPSG.
These include:- Students: These include e.g. also part-time students, doctoral students, students on a leave of absence, students at universities of applied sciences for administration or students in a dual study program.
- Pupils in (vocational) technical school classes who provide a vocational qualification in a training course of at least two years.
- Trainees in training courses at certain training centres that are covered by a statutory ordinance pursuant to Section 2 (3) No. 1 of the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG).

Eligibility depends on what kind of training they attend and what kind of degree they are aiming for. Trainees at a vocational school or a technical college who complete a vocational qualification of at least two years receive the one-off payment.
AND you must have been enrolled or registered at your training center in addition to the deadline of December 1, 2022,
AND in addition, your domicile or habitual abode must have been in Germany as of December 1, 2022.
- Persons who have carried out a study visit/internship abroad limited to a maximum of two semesters and were still enrolled/registered at their educational institution in Germany at the same time usually have their habitual residence in Germany.

Process
The energy price lump sum for students and (vocational) technical school pupils must be applied for digitally via https://www.einmalzahlung200.de/eppsg-de.
- You set up a BundID account with the eID function of your ID card, with your ELSTER certificate, your electronic residence permit, your EU identity or your EU citizen card.
- Alternatively, you can set up a BundID account as a basic registration with username/password.
- You will receive an access code and, if necessary, a PIN from your training institution.
- You register on the website https://www.einmalzahlung200.de/eppsg-de with your BundID account.
- You enter the access code (and, if applicable, the PIN) provided by your training centre in the application form.
- You provide the other required information, in particular the IBAN of your account, a joint account or a third-party account.
- After submitting your application, it will be sent to the competent authority in the country and (fully) automatically checked in the respective state specialist procedure.
- As a rule, you will receive your approval notice within a few minutes.
The payment of the energy price lump sum is usually made within a few working days.
