Detailed description
As a testing laboratory and measuring body, you must be notified in order to perform state-initiated testing and monitoring tasks. To do this, your test laboratory or measuring point must meet certain requirements. The decision on your aptitude test will be announced to you in the form of a corresponding notice. This is recognized nationwide.
This procedure applies in the environmental areas of waste management and immission control.
Equivalent certificates issued abroad will be recognized.

Requirements
Your testing laboratory/measuring point must:
- have their registered office in Brandenburg,
- prove the required expertise,
- reliable, independent and
- be equipped accordingly in terms of equipment.

Documents
- Written application
- Proof of the required specialist knowledge on the basis of accreditation by the German Accreditation Body GmbH (DAkkS) in accordance with the subject module
- Up-to-date quality management manual
- Articles of association with details of the natural or legal persons authorised to represent the company as well as a current excerpt from the commercial register
- List of personnel and equipment
- If applicable, date of the last internal and external audit of the samplers
- If applicable, proof of the type and scope of the pecuniary loss liability insurance
- If applicable, copy of the contract between the external sampler and the examination body
- possibly copy of the permit for epidemic hygiene work of safety level S 2 in accordance with § 44 IfSG

Fees
Fees apply. The amount depends on the actual administrative burden incurred. The respective fee framework can be found in the fee schedule of the former Ministry of the Environment, Health and Consumer Protection (GebOMUGV) of 22.11.2011.

Process
Please submit an application to the competent authority, enclosing the necessary supporting documents to verify the condition of notification. This examines your suitability as a testing laboratory or trade fair site.

Duration
The examination of the application begins with the submission of the complete documents. The examination takes 3 months (waste) or 4 months (according to the 41st BImSchV).

Deadline
The notification shall be granted for a maximum of 5 years. You should submit an application for renewal at least 4 months before the expiry of the validity.
