    Conclusion and amendment of a fishing lease agreement must be made in writing.

    The minimum lease period is twelve years. Exceptions to avoid undue hardship are decided by the Fisheries Authority.

    The lessee must notify the competent fisheries authority of the conclusion and amendment of a fishing lease agreement within one month of its conclusion. The same applies to subleases.
